Plans, usage, and top-ups
One subscription covers the account and every project. Production and sandbox allowances are pooled account-wide and reset on the billing/signup anniversary.
Free includes 50 production and 200 sandbox submissions per usage period. Paid target allowances remain provisional until local cost benchmarks establish prices that preserve the 10% net operating-margin ceiling.
Acceptance hard-stops when an allowance finishes. The portal and operational email warn at 70%, then 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100%.
Paid accounts may purchase production top-ups equal to 25%, 50%, or 100% of the base monthly production allowance. A top-up expires with the current period, never rolls over, and does not increase sandbox capacity.
The local development simulator covers checkout, upgrades, scheduled downgrades, renewals, payment failure/recovery, grace expiry, cancellation, and top-up purchase/expiry without creating a Stripe charge. It fails closed outside development.
A separate provider-webhook intake verifies an HMAC signature, deduplicates the provider event ID, and records the normalized event through the billing-adapter boundary. Live checkout remains disabled until prices and a payment provider are intentionally configured.
